On January 2, 2022, Reverend Kevin Leake became the 14th Pastor of Lambert Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and immediately began leading the church with vision, purpose, and a heart for God’s people. Guided by the theme “Capturing the Hearts of God’s People,” Pastor Leake has worked to strengthen the ministry through dynamic preaching and teaching, expanded community outreach, and the use of modern technology to share God’s Word beyond the church walls. Through updated media and streaming efforts, new ministry initiatives, and a commitment to spiritual growth and leadership, Pastor Leake continues to help move Lambert Chapel forward in faith, fellowship, and service.

Reverend Kevin L. Leake
Reverend Kevin L. Leake is a native of Chatham County. He is the son of Reverend Larry W. and Mrs. Brenda Leake. His father was the former pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church of Siler City, NC and is the current pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Monroe, NC. Reverend Leake received his BA degree from Elon College in 1999. He furthered his education by receiving a Masters of Education degree in Educational Leadership from High Point College in 2011. He is currently the Principal of Chatham Middle School in Siler City, NC.
In September of 2018, under the leadership of Pastor Mike Ferguson and Dr. Anthony Higgs, Reverend Leake accepted the call into ministry. He preached his initial sermon at Cornerstone Community Church in Lexington, NC entitled “Love Lifted Me” (Ephesians 2: 1-10) in February of 2019. He was ordained as a minister in February of 2020. Reverend Leake was installed as Lambert Chapel Missionary Baptist Church’s 14th Pastor on January 2, 2022.
In addition to his humility, Reverend Leake has amazing zeal and is a trailblazer in every sense of the word. His believes that it is our duty as followers of Christ is to obey the commands that Jesus gave in the Great Commission…

Rev. Leake is a proud father of four grown children: Mikayla, Steven, Brittney and Sasha. In February 2025, he married Michelle Posley, the woman who captured his heart and whose love, kindness, and unwavering support has challenged and renewed his sense of purpose in every aspect of his life.

Michelle “Mimi” Leake is the eldest child of Michael and Gloria Posley. She is a passionate educator who believes teaching is not simply a profession, but a divine calling. From childhood to the present, her love for teaching and learning has guided her journey as a tutor, teacher, and school administrator.
Currently serving as Assistant Principal of Southeastern Randolph Middle School, Mimi is committed to building meaningful relationships, promoting equity and excellence, establishing sustainable systems, and empowering others to grow in leadership and purpose. In all that she does, she strives to reflect the love, grace, and compassion of God, while continually allowing Him to shape and strengthen her life.
On February 15, 2025, Michelle was united in holy matrimony to Pastor Kevin L. Leake. Together, they are devoted to advancing the mission of the church by sharing God’s love, growing in faith, and impacting the community and the world for Christ.
